Happy Sunday, I hope everyone had a great weekend! I will admit I was quite hesitant to follow the flower embroidery trend. I thought the detailing of these designs were beautiful but would only be in for a couple of weeks. Anyhow, I pushed my doubts aside and decided to integrate a pair of ripped jeans with bold embroidery into my wardrobe. I could not be happier! It’s so fun to walk around and constantly have these bright red flowers in my P.O.V.

If you know me, you might know that I have a hard time justifying spending money on something trendy. So many things go through my mind: Will this trend stick around? What if I look back ten years from now and completely regret wearing these? This is why I’ve never been able to wear chokers (although I find some of them very pretty).
When I was young, I disliked seeing models in magazines wearing dark lip colours such as navy blue/purple/black, wide legged pants made me cringe and I didn’t like the look of bobby pins prominently showing in any hairstyle.
This might sound bizarre to some but hopefully it helps shed some light when it comes to trends. If you raise an eyebrow at something and feel as though it doesn’t properly represent your style, even if it is momentarily popular and “in the now”, you don’t have to cave! Listen to your inner fashionista and wait for something trendy to come out that really appeals to you.
Have a great week! Love,
